Learning Objectives:   Learn to evaluate possible SI Joint dysfunction in a streamlined, efficient manner and pair findings with muscle energy techniques to help relieve back pain in clients. This workshop gives the skills to: Quickly identify different positions of the pelvic bones and sacrum, and which MET’s would pair best with the findings. 

Program Learning Objectives:

  1. List the definitions of various movements of the pelvic bones and sacrum.

  2. Evaluation protocol to recognize possible misalignments of pelvic bones and sacrum.

  3. Learn muscle energy techniques to help correct any possible misalignments.

  4. Gain confidence when working with SI joint dysfunction.

  5. Determine possible paths of resolution when SI Joint dysfunction is present

Day 2 - Advanced Neck Range of Motion Evaluation

Learning Objectives:  To effectively perform cervical spine evaluation and range of motion techniques to provide pain relief to patients’ necks. 
This workshop gives the skills to:  Quickly identify neck range of motion issues and use range of motion techniques in an effective way to provide clients maximum benefit within the shortest time frame. 

Program Learning Objectives:

  1.  List Fryette’s Laws of spinal mechanics of the cervical spine.
  2.  Develop an assessment protocol to establish range of motion limitations.

  3.  Differentiate between tight and loose myo-fascial tissue in the neck.
  4.  Recommend range of motion movements to decrease movement restrictions.
  5.  Decide best course of action when presented with symptoms pertaining to certain common injuries and conditions (whiplash, etc.).

Target audience:  Certified Athletic Trainers, Massage Therapists, Yoga/Pilates Instructors

Supplies: Please bring one flat twin sheet and comfortable clothing (shorts, tank top/sports bra)
Cancellation policy: No refunds within two weeks of the scheduled workshop. If cancelled before the two week window before the class, a $50 cancellation fee will be applied. This cancellation fee will be applied to future workshops. No expiration on this fee.  Processing of a participant’s refund will occur within 3-5 business days from the day request is received.
